You had a chance to check out Japanese label Appropriato's second collection at (capsule) NYC, and it was the highlight of your visit. The brand's emphasis is quality--in materials, construction, and fit. Preference is given to traditional Japanese materials (shirts made from silk kimono fabric, for example) and fabrication techniques. A few of the pieces are pictured below, including a sturdy linen double-breasted blazer, but you also love details such as the embroidered cherry blossom petals on the white shirt and the Jacquard-woven military jacket.
